Our transparent design process

We ensure customer satisfaction in all the projects we take on by understanding your exact requirements and following a simple, transparent design process.

Not all projects will follow the same path but here’s a typical outline of stages and what they might include

Stage 1. Consultation

All our projects start with an initial chat and then usually a face-to-face meeting to understand what you need and make sure it’s feasible.

We will provide a written summary of the outcomes from our meeting with a full quotation detailing a fee proposal for each stage of the project so you’ll be comfortable with what to expect.

Stage 2. Design Concept

If you choose to work with DLIGHTING we will first produce your concept design/s and work with you to establish any amendments

Stage 3. Final Design and Specification

Providing you with a completion package of documentation to include working drawings and a specification to outline further details and costs ready for procurement

Stage 4. Project Management and Commissioning

We can then either manage the entire project through to completion and commissioning or we can hand over the project to your preferred tradespeople to implement with an option for support.

Commissioning of projects will include an Operations and Maintenance manual

I’m Daz, “I love lamp”

DLIGHTING evolved from an apprenticeship in external electrics and passion for lighting, art, architecture and design in general.

It continues to evolve with my creative perspective following industry developments and trends, some of which I aim to set.

What to use is one thing, but how it should be achieved is another. The finished article can be spoiled if not carefully considered.

With over 20 years experience in the industry, practical knowledge sets DLIGHTING apart from most lighting design practises.

It fascinates me how much lighting can impact our experiences, for better and for worse.

My mission is steering towards the better, lamp by lamp.
